Well, Lincoln is almost 2 months old! He is starting to smile lots (unfortunately I can never get a picture of it), he is cooing, and he can move his head from side to side and hold it up for a while! He still wakes up to eat every 3 hours and likes to keep us up at night. :) We went to the doctor today for his checkup and he has grown so much. He is now 20 inches and weighs 8 lb. 9 oz. He is in the 50th percentile for his weight and the 10th percentile for his height. His head is 37cm, which puts him in the 50th percentile as well.
We're hoping he gets taller, or he is going to be a shrimp for the rest of his life. His dad is 5'8" and I am 5'5" so we will see if he can get some height from his uncle Clint!! Clint is like 6'1" so our fingers are crossed...
Lincoln also had to get his shots today. He got an oral one on top of that, which he liked, but the shots were not so much fun. He cried for a minute but as soon as I picked him up he stopped.
Poor baby :(
When we got home he was still asleep in his car seat, but when he woke up he was hurting so he was crying and would only stop when I was cuddling with him.
He finally was able to sleep on his own after cuddling for a while, and some Tylenol.
We got some pictures taken of Lincoln for his newborn pictures last week and here is a preview. I can't wait to see the rest.
We also went to Lincoln's first pumpkin patch! He was pretty sleepy the whole time so we took advantage and got some pictures :)
I know... we are matching... and it wasn't on purpose.
I have two incredibly good looking men in my life. I love these two!!
He is so tiny on that huge pumpkin!!
We had to go get pictures and pumpkins before Trevor left to Vietnam. We are waiting til he gets back to carve them though.
He left this morning at 5:00. He will be gone for 10 days and I really hope we can make it that long without him. We miss him so much already. He has to go there for work about 4 times a year, so I guess I need to get used to it. I hope he has a really good time there though because that is such an incredible opportunity to be able to travel to a different country for work. I am so proud of him and am grateful for all the hard work he does for our family. I also will be going back to work. My manager is going to let me work part time from home and I am also very grateful for that. This way, I can still be a stay at home mom and bring in some extra cash... which we need cause of all the medical bills we'll be needing to pay! He sure is worth all the money in the world though. I love my family so much and am just so full of love and gratitude.

Oh Abbey. I'm so happy for your little family. Lincoln is one lucky boy to have you and Trevor for his parents. And you two are just as lucky to have him as your son. I love you all so much.
ReplyDeleteLove all those pictures! He is so cute, and you are gorgeous of course like always. Love you and miss you
